Our Commission from Bradford Metropolitan District Council (BMDC)
BYP is commissioned by Bradford Council to run performing arts activities for young people in a 'downtown' area of Bradford. We carry out our commission from our base in the Girlington area, in the city's Toller Ward. To satisfy our obligations to BDMC, we run 3000 'user-sessions' per year through our four performing-arts-based youth clubs, Juniors, Intermediates, Seniors and Drama (number of users x number of sessions = number of user-sessions). We have highly experienced and qualified youth leaders with performing arts expertise, and offer at least two performing arts at every BYP Juniors, Inters and Seniors session (from music, drama and dance). Where funding and membership levels allow, we offer all three of these performing arts to the young people at BYP.
We are completely open-access, and our activities are available to all young people aged 8-25 regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, financial or social background, and we promote inclusivity through our events and activities.
BYP is a registered charity, number 1102702.
