BYP Juniors is open to anyone age 8-11 years. Members do not need any previous experience of the performing arts but we do require lots of enthusiasm and commitment. We cover music, dance and drama, performing in two shows per year. When we are not rehearsing for a show, we spend our time building up performing arts skills. The Juniors meet regularly on Wednesday evenings (7.00-9.00pm) during term time.

Last May, the Juniors recently gave a very successful performance of Annie Junior which was very well received by the audiences, as was their collaborative concert with the BYP Children's Choir (recently closed) last September. The group performed Stable Matters in December and are now working towards a production of Hoodwinked, which will be presented on 22-24 May.
Following Hoodwinked, Amanda Harris will be stepping down as Juniors section leader and will be succeeded as leaders and artistic director by the former director of the BYP Children's Choir, Anthony Martin. Everyone at BYP wishes Amanda the very best in her future endeavours, and welcomes Anthony back into the BYP family. Anthony, who is also associated with Bradford Players, has previously worked with the BYP Seniors club, and the Juniors clearly have a very bright future.
The group do two performances a year, one of which is often staged in a small local theatre. The other show is usually a bits-and-pieces type show, or a smaller scale musical. We hold group open auditions prior to all rehearsals for shows, and members are encouraged to take part in these. We also ensure that our members take part in decisions about what we do.
Past shows include Guys & Dolls Junior, The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe, Alice the Musical and Bugsy Malone.
