BYP Juniors is open to anyone in school years 4-6 (age 8-11). Members do not need any previous experience of the performing arts but we do require lots of enthusiasm and commitment. We cover music, dance and drama, performing in two shows per year. When we are not rehearsing for a show, we spend our time building up performing arts skills. The Juniors meet regularly on Tuesday evenings (6.30-8.30pm) between September and July at BYP's base, Little Lane Church Community Hall.

About the Juniors...

If you are 8-11 years old and love singing, acting or dancing then BYP Juniors is the place for you! The group does two performances a year, one of which is often a stage musical, and the other usually a bits-and-pieces type show, or a smaller scale musical. Everyone is able to take part in our events, and we hold group open auditions for leading parts before shows. We also ensure that our members take part in decisions about what we do.

Stocking Fillers

The Juniors' Christmas production was a bits-and-pieces show for parents called Stocking Fillers.

A Night with Disney

Our summer 2010 production was A Night with Disney at the beginning of July. The show was very well received and everyone performed to a really high standard. Well done!

December 2009 - Following Stocking Fillers, Juniors section leader Anthony Martin begins a one-year sabbatical. Choreographer and deputy leader Rachael Shaw becomes acting leader for the year.

September 2009 - Alex Bellamy joins the Juniors team as volunteer accompanist.
