Membership Information
BYP maintains a membership of between 60 and 90 young people, with between 20 and 30 on the register for each youth club section on average. BYP does not operate a waiting list, and new members are always welcome at any point in the year. Anyone wishing to join BYP is encouraged to attend a club session on a Monday (Drama Club), Tuesday (Juniors or Inters) or Thursday (Seniors) evening - for further information see our page on joining BYP.
Members pay £2.50 per week in line with other youth clubs, plus £20 insurance for the year (£15 if joining after January, £10 after Easter), though weekly subs may be reduced or waived at the discretion of the club leader. Subs for the Drama Club are reduced to £2 per week for young people who are also members of the Inters or Seniors clubs. No young person wishing to take part in BYP activities will be turned away on financial grounds, and anyone (member or parent/carer) with concerns in this regard is encouraged to speak to the relevant section leader in confidence.
