Membership Information
BYP maintains a membership of around 60 to 70 young people; we do not operate a waiting list, and new members are always welcome at any point in the year. Anyone wishing to join BYP is encouraged to attend a club session on a Monday (Just Drama), Tuesday (Act 1) or Thursday (Act 2) evening - for further information see our page on joining BYP.
Members pay £2.50 per week in line with other youth clubs, plus £20 insurance for the year (£15 if joining after January, £10 after Easter), though weekly subs may be reduced or waived at the discretion of the club leader. Subs for Just Drama are reduced to £2 per week for young people who are also members of with Act 1 or Act 2. No young person wishing to take part in BYP activities will be turned away on financial grounds, and anyone (member or parent/carer) with concerns in this regard is encouraged to speak to the relevant section leader in confidence.
